Parking Bans In Effect For These Eastern Mass Towns Ahead Of Winter Weather

Massachusetts is facing the fallout of a "significant" winter storm that is causing communities to batten down the hatches and enact parking bans.

Between four and 11 inches of heavy snow, along with hazardous travel conditions, are expected in parts of eastern Massachusetts through the weekend, according to the National Weather Service Boston. 

In anticipation of the "heavy, wet" snow that is expected to be the heaviest the night of Friday, March 3, communities across eastern Massachusetts have begun to take safety measures. 

These communities have announced parking bans: 

Andover: Saturday, Marchat 12 a.m. through Sunday, March 5 at 8 a.m.

Beverly: Saturday, March 4 at 12 a.m. through Saturday, March 4 at 12 p.m.

Chelmsford: Saturday, March 4 at 1 a.m. through Sunday March 5 at 1 a.m.

Foxborough: Friday, March 3 at 11 p.m. to Saturday, March 4 at 10 a.m.

Framingham: Friday, March 3 at 12 a.m. to Saturday, March 4 at 3 p.m.

Methuen: Saturday, March 4 between 1 a.m. and 2 p.m.

Peabody: A parking ban will go into effect starting at 1 a.m. on Saturday, March 4 until further notice

SalisburyFriday, March 3 at 9 p.m. until snow removal operations have concluded

Lowell: Friday, March 3 between at 6:00 p.m. and midnight

Lynn: Parking ban starting at 8 p.m. on Friday, March 3

Gloucester: Friday, March 3 at 8 p.m. to Sunday, March 5 at 8 a.m.
